Researchers at University College London embarked on a project earlier this year to try to determine how much alcohol the average Brit consumes on a weekly basis. In addition, they wanted to know the gap between what was reported and what people actually drank.
The results of their research were very interesting. For example, while adults in the South East claimed to drink 12 or 13 units of alcohol per week, their actual consumption was in excess of 20. Similar gaps were observed in every region of England.
The research shows that it is quite possible there are more alcohol abusers in the South East than official numbers dictate. The assumption is that there are a number of people dealing with abuse or addiction who are not reporting it because they do not recognise it. This is consistent with one of the main characteristics of alcoholism.
With all of that said, you may be an alcohol abuser or addict living in the South East of England. Whether you live near Brighton, Oxford, Portsmouth, or Winchester, help is available. Alcohol Rehabs is here to assist you in finding that help. We are a specialist referral service helping people just like you every single day.

We cover every county in the region including Berkshire, Hampshire, and West Sussex, as well as everything in between. We even have access to programs outside England if a client would benefit from a greater distance.
